It's dark now
The light has been eliminated
But I'm still awake.
You were here
I couldn't see where you were, but I felt you
And I knew you were here
Safely beside me
But it's dark now
And I don't feel you
I search, I try to find you again
Somehow
And if I can't find you, I try to lose you
I need to do this for my sanity.
There you are
Not to be felt
Not to be seen
Just there
Haunting, lingering
I wait
Hoping and longing for the morning.©
